Craftsmanship
This portable miniature Regong Thangka is hand‑painted by experienced Regong artists following ancient Tibetan iconography rules. It is not machine‑printed, every piece carries unique hand‑brush details.
The artwork is painted on traditionally treated fine cotton canvas. Pigments are hand‑ground and refined from precious Himalayan natural minerals including malachite, cinnabar, lapis lazuli, turquoise and ochre. These natural mineral pigments deliver rich, deep, vivid layers and remain colour‑fast for generations with proper care. The crown, ornaments, halo and floral patterns are highlighted with pure gold powder gilding, bringing soft luxurious golden luster and solemn sacred visual effect.
Encased inside durable metal ghau shell, the hand‑painted thangka is well‑protected from dust and scratches. An adjustable woven cord is included. You may wear it as a necklace or place it for display. It serves both as a portable spiritual amulet and a fine miniature Regong intangible‑cultural‑heritage art collectible, perfect for personal collection or as a meaningful gift.
